How high do you go with your heels?
Original article by Dimi Ingle
At 1.64cm I find myself constantly looking for sky-high heels. I like being shorter than my man, and thankfully my husband is over 6ft, so I can pull-off super high heels and still feel comfortable. Besides, shorter chicks can get away with sky high heels without looking too “giraffe”. Think Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker – two fashionistas, (and my ultimate fashion icons), that always have the fanciest footwear. I think if I owned a third of each ones’ shoe collection I’d be in high-heel-heaven.

I’ve always had a lust for Christian Louboutin heels – They are so sexy, so classy and so, so high. My absolute favourites are the Pigalle pumps and I also love all the Louboutin concealed platforms. Sadly, I cant afford R8000 shoes, even if it is for the most amazing scarlet stunners. Thankfully though, I have found a pretty good substitute to satisfy my shoe and sky high heel fetish. Aldo.
Aldo not only make super sexy shoes, but their shoes are trendy, stylish and finished off with great quality. Their sky-high heels don’t look anything like cheap hooker heels, even the patent leather kind. Last week, I was out and about and decided to check out their shoe range in store. I couldn’t resist buying a pair of super high, 13cm (about 5 inch) black leather concealed platforms, which I love to bits and I can even walk properly in them – how often does that happen?
My accelerated height got me thinking, how high would you go with your heels?
How high do you go with heels?
- Sky high baby – 5 inches and beyond
- 4 inches and I’m happy
- I like them at 2-3 inches
- Minimal height, no more than 1 inch
- Nah, I prefer my flats
roxie’s thoughts:-
i just adore wearing heels and although i would be tall for a woman at 177cm, it doesn’t bother me feeling even taller. i find that the higher the heels the sexier my legs look and the more feminine i feel and even when out in public “en femme” and attracting additional attention because of my enhanced height, i am completely unfazed. Rather, i feel even more feminine and sexy. In my highest heels for everyday shoes, which are 5″ heels, i am able to walk and stand in them for quite a good length of time without my feet aching. However, i spent a full day in 4″ heels shopping with Lady Dynah in Toronto and confess that my feet were aching by the end of the day. Mind you, we did walk uphill for about a mile and a half before getting to the shops! All in all, given a choice of flats or heels, i will always pick heels, the higher the better, i just love them!
